An expert line up of speakers will ensure that advisors walk away with fresh insights and knowledge which will help them build a sustainable practice.

With the improving macroeconomic environment, advisors today have a big opportunity to take their practice to a higher level. To help advisors capitalize on this opportunity, Cafemutual is set to hold its second annual event ‘Cafemutual IFA 2015 Program’ on February 13 in Mumbai.

Around 400 IFAs are expected to gather at the event.

Themed ‘Building your business for a better tomorrow’, the day-long program aims to equip IFAs with the necessary ideas and strategies to help them build a sustainable business. The event will see some of India’s top minds share their views on topics ranging from social media to practice management.

India’s leading fund manager – Prashant Jain, Executive Director & Chief Investment Officer, HDFC Mutual Fund, will share his thoughts on why the qualitative aspects of fund management should matter to IFAs. Other notable investment minds like Sankaran Naren, Chief Investment Officer, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund and Ravi Gopalakrishnan, Head - Equities, Canara Robeco Mutual Fund will share their thoughts on the topic ‘Why should investing styles matter to IFAs? and ‘Indian Equities - An Asset Allocation Perspective’ respectively.

Today, all products and services are increasingly being marketed through social media. However, many IFAs have not been able to fully adopt social media to their advantage yet. To give practical tips on using social media, Sanjay Mehta, Joint CEO, Social Wavelength will share his thoughts on how advisors can leverage social media/technology to strengthen their practice.

Advisors are sitting on a wealth of data of their existing clients. However, not many advisors have delved deep to analyze and gain insights to engage their clients meaningfully and get a higher wallet share from their clients. Amit Trivedi, Founder, Karmayog Knowledge Academy will share with advisors how they can utilize client data to gain new insights about their clients.

Many advisors would like to work with wealthy clients. Vishal Dhawan, Founder and Chief Financial Planner, Plan Ahead Wealth Advisors will share his personal experience of working with wealthy clients and outline the right approach required to tap into this segment,.

There is no better way than to learn from real life success stories. Two leading advisors who have made it big in this industry will reveal their secrets of success with advisors.

Aashish Somaiyaa, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund will explain how storytelling is the art of listening well enough so that you learn something about the client and then share a story of success that is relevant or interesting to him.

The concept of lifecycle planning is catching up fast among advisors in India. Ace financial planner Gaurav Mashruwala, Founder, A Cutting Edge will prove how advisors can engage better with clients by using the more holistic lifecycle planning approach.

Uma Shashikant, Managing Director, Centre for Investment Education & Learning will speak on how advisors can use investor education to grow their business.

Last but not the least, Nirmal Jain, Founder and Chairman of IIFL India Ltd will inspire IFAs by sharing his learnings and insights on achieving success.
