    More than 420 IFAs from 23 cities participated in the event.

    Cafemutual held its second annual Cafemutual IFA (CIFA) 2015 event in Mumbai yesterday. More than 420 IFAs from 23 cities participated in the event. 

    Themed ‘Building your business for a better tomorrow’, the event covered a wide range of topics which included life cycle planning, market outlook from India’s best regarded fund managers, social media, among others.

    The star of the event was Nirmal Jain, Founder & Chairman, India Infoline who captivated the audience by his candidness. He shared his success mantra with IFAs.

    Sanjay Mehta, Joint CEO, Social Wavelength gave a step by step guide on the ways to use social media to reach out to clients. Prashant Jain, Executive Director & Chief Investment Officer, HDFC Mutual Fund, gave his outlook on equity and debt markets. Sankaran Naren, Chief Investment Officer, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund spoke about the importance of investment styles. Aashish Somaiyaa, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund showed how IFAs can tell stories to their clients to connect better with them.

    Two successful IFAs – Vinod Jain of Jain Investment (Mumbai) and Nitin Sawant of NS Wealth Solution (Vita, Sangli) who have made a mark with their unique approach shared their journey and success mantra with the audience. Vinod manages assets under advisory of Rs. 500 crore domestically and Rs. 100 crore in the overseas market. He has one of the largest SIP books in India, with more than 8000 SIPs. Nitin charges Rs. 14,000 for financial planning in a small town called Vita (pop. 40,000) in District Sangli, Maharashtra! He employs 8 people. The session was moderated by Raghav Iyengar, EVP & Head – Retail & Institutional Business, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund.

    Other speakers included Ravi Gopalakrishnan, Head - Equities, Canara Robeco Mutual Fund, Gaurav Mashruwala, Founder, A Cutting Edge, Uma Shashikant, Managing Director, Centre for Investment Education & Learning, Vishal Dhawan, Founder and Chief Financial Planner, Plan Ahead Wealth Advisors, Amit Trivedi, Founder, Karmayog Knowledge Academy and Omkeshwar Singh, Head – Mutual Funds, Bombay Stock Exchange.
