The new rates have come into effect from April 1, 2015.
National Institute of Securities Market (NISM) has hiked the fee for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) for MF distributors by Rs.500 from Rs.2,000 to Rs.2,500. Also, the institute has increased the fee of mutual fund distributors certification examination from Rs.1,250 to Rs.1,500. The new rates have come into effect from April 1, 2015.
On its website, the institute said, “NISM has revised the fee for Certification Examinations to Rs.1,500 and the fee for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programmes to Rs.2,500. The revised fee shall be applicable for fees to be paid after 1st April, 2015.”
Distributors have to undergo a mandatory six hours of class room training In order to renew the ARN license. Once distributors appear for this training they are issued a certificate. The license has a validity of three years. Distributors have to renew their ARNs six months prior to license expiry.
NISM conducts roughly 500 CPE trainings for mutual fund distributors across India annually.
