Reliance MF has introduced a video chat facility for its empanelled distributors through its mobile app called Business Easy. Also, advisers can use this facility through desktop by logging on to Reliance MF website. This facility will enable distributors to directly connect with fund managers, product managers and other Reliance MF senior officials.

Distributors will have to log a request for video chat session with fund manager or other senior official of the fund house. An executive will fix up a schedule and intimate distributors via SMS.

To use this facility, distributors should have a 3G connectivity over smart phone having Android version of 4.4.2 or above. For desktop, one should have an internet speed of 512kbps with latest browser. Needless to say that both webcam and microphone are required for this.

In a note sent to Cafemutual, Reliance MF said, “Mobile is one’s primary and often, the only device to engage, both socially and professionally. India is the second largest smart phone market globally. With a user base of 140 million, it is expected to touch 650 million in the next four years, according to a recent study by Cisco, the networking solutions giant. The growing trend of low-cost smart phones will also bring critical mass to the sector and further fuel user growth and data traffic in India. In addition, the advent of 4G at 3G costs, the launch of Google+ and the introduction of video chat functionality on Facebook imply that these virtual means of communication are quickly gaining ground and will serve as an excellent alternative to one-on-one meetings, that too at a much lower cost.”

The video chat facility would have features like text chat for additional interaction, document sharing and screen sharing for live demonstrations.

This facility is available from Monday till Saturday from 8 am to 9 pm.
