    ‘What differentiates Cafemutual events is their quality and content’

    You have recently conducted the first edition of Cafemutual Conference Wealth Management? What was the rationale behind launching this when you already have two event properties – Cafemutual Confluence and Cafemutual IFA?

    I am glad you asked that question right in the beginning!

    When we launched Cafemutual Confluence in 2012, our idea was to create a thought leadership event that gathers everyone who matters in the AMCs, Banks/NDs, IFAs and the eco system. Confluence is meant to look at the broader trends in the industry and brainstorm on strategies to take the industry to a higher level. And we received an overwhelming response to it. So far, we have conducted 3 editions of Cafemutual Confluence, with the fourth one to be conducted on September 11!

    However, we quickly realized that there was no event which was held keeping in mind the growth needs of the individual advisors. So, we conceptualized Cafemutual IFA (CIFA) program which is designed to give actionable tips/insights to IFAs to grow their business.

    Having covered the IFA segment and the thought leadership space and having delivered successfully on our promises with both these properties, we felt it was time to fill the gap that exists in the Bank/ND space. And hence the Cafemutual Conference: Wealth management 2015 which we recently conducted successfully on June 4.

     

    There seem to be so many events in the industry. Is there enough room for them?

    The key thing here is whether the event meets a unique purpose or not. One must look at relevance and purpose and not the number of events.

    Each of our event properties has a distinct objective keeping in mind its unique audience. We believe in catering to the specific needs of each segment i.e. of banks and large distributors, individual advisors and the industry at large that includes the manufacturers.

    So, yes there is room for anyone who clearly defines the role of each event – some are high on building camaraderie in the fraternity, others high on motivation and fun. To each his own.

     

    What is unique about Cafemutual events? How are Cafemutual events different from other industry events?

    Quality and content. At Cafemutual, we take care to deliver the best content in each of our events. There is lot of brainstorming before we zero in on topics and speakers.

    All topics are selected keeping in mind the purpose it serves for our audience.

    Also, we work hard on creating a quality experience for our delegates that is high on learning and comfort.

     

    How do you ensure that the interest of all groups – audience, sponsors and speakers are met? Tell us what’s in it for each of these groups?

    Audience: the agenda is always drawn keeping in mind the needs of the audience which is determined through regular interactions with them.

    There is extensive research that goes into selecting relevant topics and experts who are able to add value to the event. Each of our speakers have also been gracious in creating

    customised material for our event. And thereby giving fresh perspective and deep insights to the audience

    Sponsors: Our commitment to our sponsors is to have a quality gathering that provides for ample networking opportunities.

    Besides, it is always our endeavor to bring topics of relevance and speakers of international repute. The aim is to create a memorable event through a mix of warm hospitality,

    careful execution and attention to detail that has a positive rub off on the sponsor’s brand.

    Speakers: Through each of our events we give our speakers a platform that projects them as thought leaders.

    Since each speaker is required to present original ideas it also nudges them to broaden their own horizons.

    A speaker also has a unique opportunity to alter the way his/her audience conducts themselves, influence them and that is a very powerful tool for the speaker.

     

    What is the frequency of these three events?

    All 3 events are annual.

    Cafemutual Confluence 2015 will be held on September 11

    Cafemutual IFA program will be held in the second week of February

    Cafemutual Conference : Wealth management 2016 will be held in the first week of May

     

    What can distributors and mutual fund professionals expect from Cafemutual Confluence 2015?

    Lots!

    It is our promise to deliver a top quality event -  in terms of content, speakers, new perspectives in line with international standards.
