DSP BlackRock Investment Managers announced that Aditi Kothari would be heading the Sales and Marketing functions. She takes over from Ajit Menon, who is leaving DSP BlackRock to pursue other career opportunities, said a press release issued by the fund house.
Aditi joined DSP BlackRock in 2002 (then DSP Merrill Lynch Fund Managers). Prior to joining the firm, Aditi worked in Merrill Lynch’s investment banking group in New York, primarily in M&A activities in the financial institutions group. Subsequently, she worked with DSP Merrill Lynch as part of the fixed income sales team. At DSP BlackRock, Aditi initiated the firm’s various forays into the international fund advisory business and was instrumental in helping establish the first BlackRock India Fund.

As head of marketing, she has launched Winvestor - an educational and awareness initiative for current and potential women investors, IFAXpress – a transaction and information portal for IFAs, and a website dedicated to distributors, said the release.
Aditi is a member of DSP BlackRock’s CSR committee and is actively involved in various social initiatives. She is also a member on the Advisory Board of Dasra, India's leading strategic philanthropy foundation and a trustee of the Hemendra Kothari Foundation and Wildlife Conservation Trust. Aditi is actively involved with educational initiatives in both urban and rural areas, as well as initiatives on saving India’s forests and wildlife.
Aditi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
