Tata Mutual Fund announced pan-India, multi-lingual, multimedia investor education campaign “What happens when Suppandi meets Prof. Simply Simple™”.

“What happens when Suppandi meets Prof. Simply Simple™” is in continuation to the “Prof. Simply Simple™” investor education initiative of Tata Mutual Fund which was started 10 years ago.

Low financial literacy is a big roadblock. Many people have the misconception that finance is complicated and stay away from it because of the plethora of jargon that pervades the financial space.

This 32 page comic booklet comprises 11 episodes and has been translated in 6 languages - English, Hindi, Tamil, Bangla, Kannada and Gujarati, says a press release issued by the company.

The fund house tied up with The Times of India group to print and distribute this comic book with all editions of The Times of India, Vijay Karnataka and Navbharat Times. The media plan also included Ananda Bazar Patrika (Kolkata) and Nanavam Vikatan (Tamil Nadu) to add to the reach.

68 lakh copies of the comic book are already circulated as on March 14. In addition to the comic book, Tata MF have also developed a six episode animated series.

This campaign will be also promoted on social media and outdoor channels to drive traffic to the comic book and animations hosted on the company’s website.
