    CAMS officials, however deny any such development

    HDFC Group and Advent International, two major stake holders in CAMS are reportedly looking for an exit, according to a report in The Times of India. CAMS is a joint venture company with three major shareholders – HDFC group, Advent International and Acsys Software.

    According to media reports, the two players are looking at offloading 61 per cent stake but CAMS officials have denied any such development. V Shankar, founder of CAMS, holds the remaining 39 per cent.

    “We are unaware of any such development,” said N K Prasad, President and CEO, CAMS told Cafemutual. Reportedly, private equity player Apax Partners, UK based private equity Actis and a few other European and US strategic buyers are eyeing the stakes.
