SBI MF has filed an offer document with SEBI for Emerging Market Fund

Mumbai: SBI Mutual Fund has filed an offer document with SEBI to launch SBI Emerging Market Fund, an open ended fund of funds scheme.

The investment objective is to seek capital appreciation by investing predominantly in emerging market equity funds. The scheme may also invest a certain portion of its corpus in money market securities in India in order to meet liquidity requirements from time to time. The scheme would allocate 80-100 per cent of assets in units / securities issued by overseas mutual funds investing into emerging market equity. It would further invest up to 20 per cent of assets in domestic debt, money market instruments or listed equity securities of emerging market countries.

The fund will be benchmarked against MSCI EM Index. The scheme will charge 1 per cent exit load if units are redeemed within 1 year from the date of allotment. The fund will be managed by Anup Upadhyay.
