Ritesh Jain, CIO, Tata Mutual Fund has put in his papers, said a source close to the development. He has resigned last week, said the source.
According to this source, Jain is likely to start something on his own. Jain had joined Tata Mutual Fund as Chief Investment Officer in May 2013.
Prior to this, Ritesh had served as the CIO of Canara Robeco Mutual Fund for five years and was heading fixed income portfolio at Kotak Mutual Fund for six years. He has also worked in different capacities with organizations like IDBI Bank and Corporation Bank. He has spent the over 14 years of his career in fund management.
Jain holds a Masters in Business Economics from Indore University and a diploma in capital markets from ICFAI. He has also attended classes at the New Austrian School of Economics, Germany.

Tata Mutual Fund manages Rs. 40,000 crore as on September 2016.
