How do you rate India’s chances of winning in this cricket World Cup?
India stands there amongst the favorites. However, all four semi-finalists are playing great cricket.
What are your plans to watch World Cup final and semi-finals?
To watch the semi-finals, I will have to juggle between work and following the game on TV. If India reaches the finals, I will watch it with friends. I wish I could be in Australia to watch the finals. Last World Cup, I had flown to Chandigarh to watch the India v/s Pakistan semi-finals and was in Wankhede to watch the India v/s Sri Lanka final.
Have you bunked school, college or office to watch India’s match ever? Any story which you would like to share?
Cricket has always been a passion. And to watch matches, bunking has been very common. During the last World Cup, I had to request a helicopter ride from a friend as tickets to Chandigarh were not available. So I flew to Delhi and in a helicopter to Chandigarh.
Your favorite World Cup moment
India beating Pakistan in Chandigarh in World Cup semi-finals in 2011. This followed by India beating Sri Lanka in the finals was awesome. My friend from US specially flew from New York just to watch the finals. We were awake all night after the win and the scenes on the roads were memorable.
Who is your favorite cricketer?
At present, AB Devillers and Virat Kohli.
What are the similarities between cricket and investing?
Passion is the most important virtue required for both. We learn from our mistakes every day in both. Innovation and dedication are required in both. Discipline is also essential. And last but not the least, both require a great team to excel.
Which Indian player in the World Cap squad would make the best fund manager?

What have you learned from cricket?
Team work, dedication, passion, discipline and all the things I mentioned earlier. The biggest is that it’s a thrill to beat your competition.
