An analysis of industry data reveals that the MF industry has collected ₹5400 crore during NFOs in April-June 2023.
Overall, the industry launched 24 NFOs in the first quarter of FY 2024. In April-June 2022, the industry collected Rs.3250 crore from 3 schemes. There were no launches during May and June 2022 as the market regulator had put a ban on fund houses.
Of the total NFO collection, majority of inflows i.e. Rs.2850 crore has come from sector funds. The industry saw 4 launches in this category – ICICI Prudential Innovation Fund, HDFC Defence Fund, quant BFSI, quant Business Cycle.
Further, the industry collected close to Rs.1500 crore from value fund. Baroda BNP Paribas Value Fund collected this amount during its NFO in June.
The industry 9 launches in index funds.
