HDFC MF has launched a new thematic fund - HDFC Technology Fund, an open-ended equity scheme which will invest more than 80% of its core portfolio in technology companies.
Balakumar B, Fund Manager and Senior Equity Analyst, HDFC MF will manage this fund. In a press release, he said “The scheme would invest across segments and market capitalization. We would follow a bottom-up approach focussing equally on Industry leaders and disruptors with competitive moats and market share gainers with potential for re-rating and higher compounding that are available at reasonable valuations.”
The fund will invest in tech theme having exposure to companies like IT services, software, consulting, and outsourcing, IT products and hardware, internet companies and internet enabled services, infrastructure providers and telecommunications, media and information services and data and data solutions providers.
