Maharashtra, New Delhi and West Bengal are the top states with highest ETF assets as on June 2023, shows an analysis of data released by AMFI. ETF AUM includes both equity ETFs and debt ETFs.
Maharashtra has the highest assets of Rs.5 lakh crore in ETFs. It contributed 89% to the total ETF AUM as on June 2023.
New Delhi and West Bengal are next with assets of Rs.15,000 crore and Rs.6,000 crore in ETFs, respectively.
Among other in the top ten list are Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, UP, Telangana and Jharkhand

In gold ETFs, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu command the highest share of gold ETF AUM.
Of the total assets of Rs.23,000 crore of gold ETFs, Maharashtra alone accounts for 73% or Rs.16,500 crore as on June 2023.
Karnataka and Tamil Nadu follow Maharashtra with ETF assets of Rs.900 crore and Rs.700 crore.
