    SBI MF, Nippon India MF and UTI MF have the highest passive AUM

    While SBI MF has the highest ETF AUM, ICICI Pru MF is the top player in index category.

    SBI MF, Nippon India MF and UTI MF are the top three players in the passives space, shows an analysis done by Cafemutual.

    SBI MF has the highest passives AUM of Rs. 3.23 lakh crore. The fund house derives 35% of its total AUM from passive business.

    Nippon India MF  and UTI MF are the next fund houses with passives AUM of Rs. 1.28 lakh crore and Rs. 1.19 lakh crore.

    Other fund houses in the top 5 includes ICICI Prudential MF which has a passive AUM of Rs. 88100 crore and Edelweiss MF that has a passive AUM of Rs. 80400 crore.

    Among other fund houses in the top 10 list includes HDFC MF, Aditya Birla MF, Kotak MF, Bandhan MF and Motilal Oswal MF.

    Index funds

    When it comes to index funds, ICICI Prudential MF has the highest index AUM of Rs. 29300 crore. HDFC MF is the second biggest fund house with index AUM of Rs. 26200 crore. UTI MF is in the 3rd spot with index AUM of Rs. 25700 crore.

    SBI MF and Aditya Birla MF occupy the next two spots.

    Other fund houses with index AUM of over Rs. 10000 crore include Bandhan MF, Edelweiss MF and Nippon India MF with AUM of Rs. 16600 crore, Rs. 16100 crore and Rs. 10500 crore, respectively.

    SBI MF has the highest AUM of Rs. 2.93 lakh crore in ETFs.

    Nippon India MF and UTI MF are second and third with ETF AUM of Rs. 1.06 lakh crore and Rs. 92100 crore.

    Edelweiss MF and ICICI Prudential MF are the other fund houses with healthy ETF AUM of Rs. 60400 crore and Rs. 51700 crore, respectively.

    Other fund houses in the top 10 includes Kotak MF, Motilal Oswal MF, Mirae Asset MF, HDFC MF and Aditya Birla MF.

    In terms of commodity ETFs (gold and silver), Nippon India MF has the highest AUM of Rs. 11100 crore. ICICI Prudential MF comes second with commodity ETF AUM of Rs. 6900 crore. HDFC MF completes the top 3 with a commodity ETF AUM of Rs. 4500 crore.
