I am 64 years old. I want to invest in mutual funds. Please suggest some good schemes.

It is not possible to suggest any suitable schemes to you because you have not mentioned your investment objective and horizon and your risk profile. Debt funds are typically recommended to achieve short-term goals. Equity schemes are suitable to meet long-term goals of five years or more.

See by bombarding so much wrong information and knowledge what have we come down to. People do not trust the distributors who actually are genuine and can and do give correct solutions based on the need of an individual but they write to you who can not do any of it. Shame on media and AMFI and SEBI.
