RBI issues directions for peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platform

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on October 4, 2017, has issued directions for every Non-Banking Financial Company that carries on the business of a Peer to Peer (P2P) Lending Platform.

These Directions shall be known as the Non-Banking Financial Company - Peer to Peer Lending Platform (Reserve Bank) Directions, 2017. These Directions shall come into force with immediate effect.

Going forward, no NBFC P2P shall commence or carry on the business of a Peer to Peer Lending Plat ..
