In an interview with ET Now, Dhirendra Kumar , CEO, Value Research , says a multicap fund with small and midcaps looks very promising over a long period of time 10-20 years. But they are not meant for everybody and if you do not have the temperament keep away.

For the first time we are staring at a situation where there is an inflation scare after a gap of many years. Bond yields are at 7.5%. Do you think rather than starting with equities today for a change, we should start with debt and that is where the real opportunity now is?
