    Indian equity market rebounded in April 2018 after two consecutive months of negative returns. Nifty 50 gave ~6.2% return in April 2018 vs ~-3.6% in March 2018 and ~-4.9% in February 2018. Small-cap stocks outshined the Large-cap and Mid-cap stocks in April 2018. BSE Small-cap gave ~8.3% return, while BSE Sensex and BSE Mid-cap gave 6.7% and 6.6% return respectively in April 2018.

    Mutual funds received record-breaking inflows of Rs6,690cr into the mutual fund industry via SIP in April 2018. During FY18, the mutual funds received Rs67,190cr of inflows in mutual funds via SIPs compared to Rs43,921cr during FY17.
