Inflows into mutual funds softened a bit in May as subdued market sentiment prompted investors to go slow. Data available with industry regulator Amfi showed flow into equity and equity-linked saving schemes fell to Rs 12,070 crore in May from Rs 12,409 in April. But investments in equity funds through the systematic investment plans (SIPs) route shot up to Rs 7,304 crore in May after slowing down to Rs 6,690 crore in April from Rs 7,119 crore in March.
