    25 years of pvt sector mutual funds: Dividend was primary option for most schemes in 1993

    Six out of nine equity schemes that were launched in or prior to 1993 had ‘dividend’ as their primary option. The six schemes were - UTI Mastershare (launched in 1986), SBI Magnum Equity ESG Fund (launched in 1991), UTI Equity Fund (1992), SBI Large & Mid Cap Fund (1993), Canara Robeco Equity Tax Saver Fund and SBI Magnum TaxGain’93 Fund. These days most equity mutual fund schemes have growth as their primary option.
