Your mutual fund portfolio may change after scheme re-categorisation

When investors sit to review their mutual fund schemes, they will notice some of the schemes that they held have merged or their names have changed.

Why have names of some mutual fund schemes changed?
Names of some equity and debt mutual fund schemes have changed as fund houses align them to comply with the directives of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi). As per the mandate, a fund house can offer 10 types of equity funds, 16 categories of bond schemes.
