The Rs 2,800 crore initial public offering (IPO) by HDFC Asset Management Company on Monday was lapped up by investors on Day 1 of the bidding process.
Till, 4.30 pm, the issue received 1,83,75,071 shares, or 98 per cent, subscription against the issue size of 1,88,04,290 shares, data available with NSE showed. Demand was seen mainly from qualified investors buyers (QIBs) and retail investors.
