Last month, net sales of equity mutual funds fell 71 per cent compared with the prior year, proving that flows into equity mutual funds are indeed cyclical. But the bigger question to ask now is whether sustenance of negative growth in NAVs of equity mutual funds will pose a risk to the broader market?
