Sensex collapses 1,000 pts, sees swift recovery; Nifty below 11,150; DHFL cracks 55%

The domestic equity market came under heavy selling pressure on Friday afternoon as the Sensex crashed over 1,000 points while the Nifty broke below the 10,900 level.

The selloff was so intense that the Sensex crashed over 800 points within a matter of minutes. The recovery was equally swift as the BSE benchmark immediately recovered over 700 points.
