The recent Sebi circular allowing mutual funds to participate in exchange-traded commodity derivatives would pave way for commodity mutual fund schemes in the country. However, mutual funds are not in a hurry to launch schemes as they are waiting for more clarity on a host of issues from the regulator. They also say they have to improve their skills in commodity investing.
