    Many mutual funds stop taking money for plans with DHFL exposure

    Several mutual fund houses that hold debt securities of DHFLNSE -11.34 % in their portfolios, have stopped accepting fresh subscriptions to such schemes until there is clarity on the firm’s payment plans, industry executives said.

    Most of these debt mutual fund schemes wrote off 75 per cent of their holdings in DHFL paper after the firm missed interest payment and was downgraded to the default category by rating firms. Following this, the net asset value of these schemes fell up to 53 p ..
