Shame on all those who chastised Franklin Templeton of cheating them and accused them of fraud. Such a reputed institution that has quite literally been the benchmark of the AMCs for process centric funds management for decades, went through a liquidity crisis due to the onset of Covid induced lockdown. And for this Force Majeure exigency, their image was tarnished brutally for months and years. Are investors even aware that a majority of the top 20 AMCs are pretty much in the same liquidity crunch w.r.t. Short term Bond funds ? And in response, most of the resp. AMCs have not even segregated the NPA investments from their portfolios.
