How is the insurance claim received out of a benefit plan taxed? I have not incurred any expense for medical conditions but have received a claim from an insurance company under the policy. Will the claim amount received be taxable?

Except Claims Settlement Ratio, one should see the Professional/Industry Ethics followed by the Insurance Company e.g. Star Health Insurance doesn't follow it all. Its agency managers & Branch Managers are running Dummy agencies & agencies in the name of their Blood relatives which is not the practice followed by the Industry & which creates conflict/clash of interests between the Local Team.
