Insuretech company PhonePe has received insurance broking licence from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). PhonePe has become a direct agent to sell life and general insurance covers.

Any Tom dick and harry just bybpayimg some moeny to the regulator gets the insurance license. Insurance is a very complex subject and these companies will never understand these products and never know the suitability and just missell them. Rather than maligning agent community everyone should focus and bring out the truth on how much and to what quantum ate these products missold by banks and fintechs.
