If we review the short-term pre & post Budget performance of the stock market in the last decade of 2010 to 2020, volatility has drastically reduced. Based on the performance of the last five years, it can be clearly noticed that Budget outcome has not been impacting the performance of the stock market. It has been a neutral event. However, volatility is seen when we are near elections, especially general elections.
