At a time when the total assets under management of the mutual fund industry rose by a flat 5% in the financial year gone by, index funds were an outlier growing their assets by nearly one-and-a-half times.
Index fund AUM stood at ₹1.67 lakh crore as of March 2023 from ₹68,675 crore a year ago, showed data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi).
