Systematic investment plans (SIP)-linked assets under management (AUM) and total equity portfolio value of mutual funds touched a new high in April, although equity indices were a few percentage points away from their peaks.
AUM of SIP-linked funds increased to a record ₹7.17 lakh crore in April, showed the data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India. This is the first time the AUM crossed ₹7 lakh crore, surpassing the previous peak of ₹6.83 lakh crore in November 2022. On a month-on-month basis, the SIP AUM expanded 4.96% in April, the highest percentage gain in the past nine months.
