    FIIs lap up financial stocks worth Rs 5,500 crore but are MFs booking profit?

    Out of Rs 13,000 crore worth of Indian equities that foreign institutional investors or FIIs bought in the first fortnight of June, around 40% was spent on the long-time favourite financial stocks.


    However, banks and other financial stocks have been underperforming the market since the last one month which indicates that mutual funds and other domestic investors might be taking advantage of FII buying to book some of the profits.
