Large cap funds lose lustre among investors

The share of the large cap funds in the overall assets under management (AUM) of equity mutual funds (MF) dropped to 14.58% in July 2023, the lowest since sectoral data was made available by the Association of Mutual funds in India (AMFI). Their share fell for the tenth month in a row. At the peak in December 2019, these funds contributed around 20% to the total equity MF AUM.
