A buoyant equity market continued to propel account additions for systematic investment plan (SIP) linked schemes in December 2023. The gross new SIP registrations hit a record four million during the month, according to data from the Association of Mutual Fund in India (AMFI). It was 2.2 times that of the monthly average for the past five years. Total SIP account tally reached 76.4 million at the end of December.
