Small-cap funds count new records as investors bet big

ET Intelligence Group: Small-cap funds - which invest in the shares of small companies and are generally seen as minnows among equity fund categories - have emerged as the top bet among investors, helping the category set new records across several parameters.In December, small-cap funds added more than 935,000 folios, or accounts, data from the Association of Mutual Fund of India show. That was the most for a month in the equity fund category
