    Delhi becomes 35th state/UT to join India’s national health insurance scheme

    Delhi has officially joined the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, becoming the 35th State/UT to implement the national health insurance scheme.

    As part of the implementation, all senior citizens aged 70 and above, regardless of their socio-economic status, will be eligible for $5,820 (Rs 5 lakh) in free health coverage under the Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana.
