Private non-life insurer Bajaj Allianz General Insurance said on Monday that it has launched a long-term two-wheeler package policy under which two-wheelers can be insured for up to three consecutive years at one go.
The policy also comes with a 24x7 roadside assistance service, along with a two-wheeler policy in the market. This service will be offered complimentary to women customers through the company's service provider during the first year of the launch.
As part of the plan, the insured does not have to renew the contract every year as he gets one policy certificate for a maximum of three years of cover. Most importantly, the insured can save on paying higher premia due to the yearly third-party motor premium hike as it will have no bearing on the policy.
"This long-term policy will not only ensure they are covered for a longer period of time, but will also help save their outgo towards motor premium in comparison to a single year policy," Bajaj Allianz General Insurance MD and Chief Executive Tapan Singhel said in a statement.
"Most importantly, two-wheeler customers now have an access to 24x7 roadside assistance. In our attempt to make travel worry-free and safe for women, this facility will be offered complimentary to our women customers," he added.
