Though small in volumes, online business has started taking shape in general and non-life insurance as well. But the segment, in addition to the normal regulations, would need a special code of conduct, considering the peculiarity of the absence of personal interaction in the entire gamut of transactions—except in rare cases where personal intervention is warranted.
