Several financial advisors have been asking investors to shift their investments in small and midcap mutual fund schemes to large cap schemes for a while now. They have been arguing that small and midcap stocks have run up quite a bit in the last few years and they are in for a steep correction. Investors would be better off in largecap schemes as they are poised to take off anytime soon, the argument went.
