Reserve Bank of India’s cap on mutual fund investments in liquid schemes is likely to keep banks away from investing significant surplus cash in cash plans, says Bekxy Kuriakose, Head-Fixed Income, Principal PNB Mutual Fund. “Banks have an upper cap for investments in MFs, due to this (the cap) we don’t see massive investments from banks as investors. At Principal we have not witnessed inflows from banks,” said Kuriakose in an interview to Moneycontrol.
