Even as money market funds are slowly getting recognized as an alternative to keeping idle cash in your bank savings account or in a fixed deposit, it still takes about a day or so to redeem. Fund houses are using technology and some smart ways to provide instant redemption. The idea is that your liquid fund should work like your savings account. A few fund houses have launched instant redemption, but expect more to do so in 2017.
