Investment experts are asking traditional investors, who have been flocking to mutual funds in large numbers after demonetisation, to invest a little more in equity mutual funds. These investors prefer debt mutual funds, as they are used to investing only in safer avenues like bank and company deposits.
"Traditional investors who were disheartened by the low returns did move to MFs, but they are still not opting for equity funds," says Amar Pandit, Founder & CEO of My Financial Advisor.
