How to trace lost MF schemes not linked to your PAN

Tracking mutual fund investments is easy these days. All you need is a Permanent Account Number (PAN) and an internet connection. You can request a Consolidated Account Statement that would include all your investments. Provided all of them are linked to the PAN. There is a small problem: Some of your old mutual fund investments are not linked to the PAN. What would you do in such a situation?
