Investors in international mutual funds are a bit worried. These funds that invest in overseas stocks and commodities have given negative returns (category average: -1.33 per cent) over the last one month. Should investors lose their sleep over this short-term underperformance?
"There is no need for the existing investors to worry about the negative returns," says Rajat Jain, CIO, Principal Mutual Fund. The category has underperformed only in the last one month. It has done fairly well over a period of one year with 11.09 per cent returns.
