After Sebi has approved instant redemption facility in liquid funds yesterday, Reliance Mutual Fund, the first fund house to start instant redemption facility in its Reliance Money Manager Fund, is going to announce some changes. Shivani Bazaz of ET Mutual Funds spoke to Sundeep Sikka, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Reliance AMC to find out the details. Edited interview.
Sebi has aproved instant redemption facility in liquid funds yesterday. Reliance already has a fund (Reliance Money Manager Fund), an ultra short term fund, that provides this facility? what changes now?
We are extremely thankful to Sebi for giving a policy framework to an innovation that we came up with. There is no difference and the instant redemption was started as a facility for the investors. The modus operandi doesn't change. It remains the same.
