My mutual fund schemes are not doing well, should I sell them?

I have invested Rs 48,000 through SIP and lumpsums in UTI MNC Fund. But I have stopped further SIPs in it since December 16 as the fund is not performing up to expectations. Should I hold or redeem my investment?

I also have SIPs of Rs 1,000 running in both Reliance Small Cap Fund and HDFC Midcap Opportunities Fund since March 2015, but I stopped SIPS in the regular plans since December 16 and started SIPs in direct plans of the same funds. Should I transfer the corpus in new ..

This is what happens when you go direct just to save a negligible cost.

Direct plans should be completely stopped.
