Quantum Long Term Equity Fund, an equity scheme known to stick to the principles of value investing, has increased its cash holding to 17.5% of its portfolio value--the highest in over two years. High valuations and fewer opportunities to pick stock winners have prompted the scheme with assets of Rs 757 crore to increase cash levels, a strategy that could backfire if the market continues its steady ascent.
