    In May, S&P BSE Sensex had appreciated 0.71 per cent on the basis of total returns. Meanwhile, S&P BSE MidCap and S&P BSE SmallCap indices had fallen to 5.86 per cent and 6.24 per cent, respectively. So far in 2018, S&P BSE Sensex rose 4.17 per cent, while mid cap and small cap indices have fallen approximately 10 per cent each on the basis of total returns.
